Sawdust Art Festival

Since its creation in 1966, the Sawdust Art Festival once again resides in Laguna Beach, California. There are hundreds of booths that are filled by over 200 local artists, each with their own beautiful work. The public is free to stroll through the booths that include (but are certainly not limited to): photography, custom made jewelry, hand-blown glass, sculpture, and ceramics. The festival started on June 26th and goes until August 30th to give the OC community plenty of opportunity and time to peruse as many booths as they’d like.

Several artists are eager to not only share their work with the public, but also to explain their creative process–during the festival, there are certain nights dedicated to live demonstrations and art workshops that are conducted by the artists themselves. Other events include dance lessons, Cultural Celebrations Day, as well as the ever-popular OC Resident Nights! OC Resident Nights vary each week; all Laguna Beach locals have free admission to the Festival after 5pm with an ID. Other special events include fashion shows, Sip, Talk & Walk tours, and Tropical Days. Several of the aforementioned events are free on certain nights of the week!

This festival provides ample opportunity to support local vendors and take home gorgeous, hand-made art pieces. This festival is “unjuried,” meaning that there is a lottery for the booths, which gives amateurs and professionals alike to equally present their work to the public–it is a phenomenal opportunity for local artists!

A daily ticket costs $8.50 for an adult, starting at 10am every day and ends at 10pm.

Come sample delicious food and listen to the live entertainment while choosing which photography print would go perfectly above your mantle.
