Spending Valentine’s in the Big D

Do you have a significant (or not so significant, but significant enough) other to spend Valentine’s Day with? If you forgot to make reservations at “that new and expensive place everyone is going to,” then I have some options for you.

Deep Ellum Mimosa Walk

If you’re single and celebrating or if your boyfriend or girlfriend loves champagne, the good people of the Deep Ellum Wine Walk are giving you mimosas for Valentine’s Day! From 12pm-3pm on Saturday, February 13th, you are welcome to buy a “mimosa glass” for $10 and drink your fair share of mimosas while enjoying all that Deep Ellum has to offer you. However, drink responsibly–there are too many tattoo parlors to stumble into, and those things last forever.

Dallas By Chocolate

If you are as enamored with chocolate as much as your S.O., then Dallas By Chocolate is where you need to be. You can tour three to four chocolate shops including Dallas favorites like Dude, Sweet Chocolate, Sublime Chocolate, and others. You can enjoy some wine on the side along with pastries, ice cream, and of course, chocolate. It varies from $30-$40 per person, and it is so worth it!

Take a Gondola Ride in Las Colinas

If you couldn’t afford to fly to Venice on a moment’s notice, take a gondola ride in Las Colinas this Valentine’s Day instead! The ride takes you through Mandalay Canal and Lake Carolyn in this area. These private cruises feature beverages, chocolates, desserts and appetizers, as well. They are the perfect place to celebrate Valentine’s with your loved one, so don’t miss out on it!

Spend Valentine’s in Reunion Tower

If you’re really trying to impress your S.O. or are popping the question, make your reservations now before it’s too late! There are package deals available for Saturday and Sunday, February 13th-14th, to make your Valentine’s a special affair.
