October Weekends 2015

Do you find yourself in the flourishing city of Dallas, twiddling your thumbs, and wondering what to do with this great weather?

Here in Dallas, we’re not accustomed to wanting to be outdoors. Now, October has presented us with a challenge: how can we enjoy these breezes and autumnal bliss? Well, Modtown Blogger has the answer. Instead of planning out your Halloween costume each night, here are some Dallas events you don’t want to miss!

If you’re dying to hear some good music this fall, look no further this October.

Motley Crue is coming to the American Airlines Center on October 7th. If that’s a little too intense for your taste, The Dallas Symphony Orchestra is performing at Meyerson Symphony Center on October 8th! Also on October 8th, the Alamo Drafthouse is hosting a Ghostbusters Movie Party at 7pm, and Halsey is performing at South Side Musical Hall!

If you’d rather spend your nights as if you’re living 1940’s, go to the Angelika Film Center. Every Thursday, the Angelika is hosting HITCHOCKTOBER! This week (October 8th) is Hitchcock’s thriller “Shadow of a Doubt.” Oh, and did I mention: this event is free!! In both the Dallas and Plano Angelika locations, a Hitchcock movie filled with dramatic music and Grace Kelly’s shrieks.


Also on October 9th-11th, A$AP Rocky will be in Dallas (at the South Side Ballroom), and if rap isn’t your cup of tea, the Texas-OU Red River Showdown will take place at the Cotton Bowl! Whether you’re a Boomer or a Longhorn, come to Fair Park, drink beer, and cheer on the team of your choice. And Ariana Grande will be performing at the AAC on October 11th!

October in Dallas is the perfect time to see the city and embrace this beautiful weather!
